Cat Boarding

It can be difficult to find the right facility for your cat to stay with while you are away. At the Winkler Collar Club, we strive to create a calm and relaxed environment for your cat to stay in to ensure they are receiving the care and attention they deserve.

All About Cat Boarding

Give your cat something to purr about. The bright and private area for cats at Winkler Collar Club provides a relaxing atmosphere with soft music and a cozy ambiance. Cats are boarded in their own four-level suites, with a personal litter box, water/food dishes and bed.

Cats are granted access to the common area twice a day where they can scratch and stretch. During this time we only have ONE cat out of his/her Condo at a time. We do NOT socialize the cats together. All toys and beds are welcome so the cat will feel comfortable and at home. It is important to bring your cat’s standard diet and treats to avoid digestive problems. We will provide dishes and litter.

For cats, it is difficult to leave their familiar environment, so it may be helpful to initially board your cat for one night before your long trip. This will allow your pet to become familiar with our facility and will show your cat that you will return to pick him/her up.

Important Information

All of the preparations by the pet owner merely help for a successful boarding experience for your pet. There are a few things you must attend to before bringing your cat into boarding:

  • Make sure all immunizations are current.

  • Rabies (six months of age)

  • FVRCP

  • FeLV

  • All vaccinations records must be from a licensed Veterinarian.

  • Your cat should be free of internal and external parasites and not have been exposed to any contagious disease (at least 48hrs, previous boarding).

  • Inform the staff if your cat has any special needs, such as medication, allergies, or health problems.

  • Do not feed your cat at least 4 hours prior to transportation, to minimize upset stomach.

  • Must supply food. This will lessen the chance of your cat having an upset stomach during their stay.

  • All cats MUST arrive in a carrier. There will be no exceptions to this.

We reserve the right to deny admittance to pets that lack proof of vaccinations, pets displaying signs of untreated or potentially contagious health conditions, and/or aggressive behavior. We reserve the right to charge handling fees for excessively difficult or aggressive pets, requiring additional staff and/ or additional time in order that we may deliver the proper care.

Any cat requiring medical attention will be taken to the Veterinarian. Charges will be at the owner’s expense. Every effort will be taken to contact the pet owner or emergency contact prior to treatment.

Upon admission for services, your signature of the contract acknowledges your awareness and acceptance of our policies. The minimum age for all services is 3 months, with minimum first two sets of vaccinations.

Each cat is assigned an individual three-level cat suite. The Cat Room is supervised by experienced staff, ensuring your cat’s constant care and safety.
